Shooting in low light situations was explored on day one. Dee began day two with a packed session on business and marketing, I ran the afternoon sessions which were devoted to Photoshop training.

Aprils training course is a success
Together with Dee Harris I have been running a training course aimed at photographers breaking into the wedding market. It was a real treat to have such dedicated delegates who were all eager to learn and fun to be with. The course ran over 2 days at Dee's gorgeous Dovecot Studio near High Wycombe. With the emphasis on making images with low light and using small awkward areas, the following shots were all taken in the sessions we ran using models.

Angela and John's wedding Saturday the 31st March
Here are a few images from the wedding I shot on Saturday. Angela and John had a beautiful wedding at Redland Parish Church, after the wedding the guests flowed out on to a blustery Redland Green. With the spring daffodils and blue sky even the wind was soon forgotten. The reception was at Bristol Zoo Pavillion.

Last weeks portrait shoot
I had a busy weekend, and am a bit behind with my blog..... Saturday saw a fantastic wedding. It was a blustery day, with periods of beautiful sunshine when Angela and John were married at Redland Parish Church, with a reception at Bristol Zoo Pavilion. A preview of the images will be posted tomorrow.
Sunday started with a Family portrait shoot at Ashton Court. It eventually warmed up enough for some great pics that were full of the joys of spring. Ashton Court is beautiful this time of year, the daffodils are out and many of the trees are still covered in blossom. From there I rushed off to do the Bristol Evening Post and Press Wedding Fayre. A great event, with fashion shows, music and lots of stalls. It is always fun and a joy to catch up with other people from the industry.
Below are a couple of shots from a shoot I did with the beautiful Mya last week. She is fun and full of life, and I think a natural actress!
